As much praise as Christopher Nolan’s Dark Knight Trilogy received, fans were rather merciless when it came to the disguised, gravelly voice of Christian Bale’s Batman. If I had to choose my favorite element at this point in time, however, it would have to be the Bat-Voice. Even the Batmobile and what looks like could be the Batwing make an explosive appearance. There’s the grisly voice of Jeremy Irons’ Alfred, as he talks to a stone-faced Bruce Wayne staring at his Batsuit. Then there are the beautiful, almost religious-like images of various characters either bowing down or reaching out to Superman. First, there’s all of the pure rage that seems to be boiling just under the surface in this comic book world – seemingly all generated by nothing more than fear. There is quite a lot to absorb in this trailer – which comes to us via The Hollywood Reporter - and it’s hard to really focus on any one particular thing. This is evidently what leads him to cross paths with Batman (Ben Affleck), who obviously has a very keen interest in making the red and blue newcomer bleed. That’s fun for us when we’re able to announce Jesse Eisenberg to the audience.Picking up after the events of Man of Steel - which saw the world meet Superman (Henry Cavill) for the first time, it seems as though the world of the DC Cinematic Universe is divided, with some people believing that the alien from Krypton is a hero, while others believing that he is a "false god" and possibly a threat. I am under the impression that the three big casting announcements that weren’t wrong - Ben Affleck, Gal Gadot and Jesse Eisenberg - were done on your timetable. Do you know what I mean? And you have to take that as the world we live in, as opposed to “Oh, that’s too bad.” The leak becomes the audience involvement. Zack Snyder: I think it does another thing. We wanted to give that to them and we got cheated out of it. We went to Comic-Con for “Watchmen” and we were bringing the cast to announce it and it got leaked a couple of days before. We wanted to bring them something special. With the announcement, there was rumblings and we were like, “Aw.” Because we wanted to bring it to the fans. It’s kind of a shame that you can’t go through the process in a pure way and then be able to announce it in a way that’s exciting. Like Adam Driver being Nightwing, which wasn’t true.ĭeborah Snyder: Or some of it, you’re just having conversations, but that doesn’t mean they are a contender, but you’re just exploring and it gets made public. was definitely not a planned thing.ĭeborah Snyder: Things get leaked so often these days, it’s a shame because even casing announcements, or whatever, you’re in the middle of a process and sometimes they’re so off base - and then it gets picked up by multiple places and it’s all over the place. Superman.” The news of that movie had leaked a few hours prior to your announcement. I was in Hall H at Comic Con this past July when you announced “Batman vs. Superman leaks that have occurred over the past few months and also about some of the surprises. In a new interview, The Huffington Post asked Zack and his wife Deborah (who is also a producer) about some of the Batman vs. Superman leaked a few hours before Zack Snyder made the announcement at Comic Con last July. These days it’s almost impossible for a movie studio to prevent information from leaking out.
